I remember a few years ago when my wife was in the final stages of planning our youngest daughters wedding. She seemed to have managed to remain stress free, while I was stressed out thinking about paying for it. I kept having to remind myself that God was our provider; while she kept planning as […]
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” There is an old Arab parable that says: All sunshine and no rain makes a desert.” If you never have any down times, dark times, gloomy times in your life you’ll be dried up. You’ll have no depth […]
We will never find emotional stability until we learn to deal with our guilt by allowing God to remove it. Of course this involves you letting it go and releasing it to Him. David said in Psalm 23:3 says, “He restores my soul.” God wants to restore our soul just like He did David’s. How […]
Life is tough. We all encounter discouragement, depression, and despair. We often experience fatigue, failure, frustrations, and fears. We may have hidden hurts from our past. We may be carrying wounds, battle scars, and emotional garbage. The good news is that God wants to take away our emotional garbage. He wants to restore our soul. […]
For those who find themselves constantly in self-doubt, take a close look at the Bible. You find that often the ones that God uses the most are the people who have faced and overcome self-doubt — people like Moses, Jeremiah, and Sarah. They faced it and they found a way in God to overcome it. […]
When we face the times of self-doubt there are some responses that we normally have. How we respond to doubt, whether it’s a doubt about ourselves, about God, about His word? There are at least four basic responses we can have. Lets take a look at these. We either: Listen to our doubts – Ignore our […]
Life is often viewed as going through seasons, like Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Each season is needed for a purpose and each season should be accepted for what it is and what it provides. Above all we should learn to enjoy each season of life even if it is uncomfortable. None of us are […]
My desire is to always move people from a feeling of spiritual failure where they feel like they’re not good enough or they’re not doing enough. I also have a desire to see people connect with God and live in an up-close, spiritual and intimate relationship. One where you enjoy Him and enjoy being a […]
In last weeks lesson we talked about whether you were a skunk or a turtle in your relationships with others, especially when it comes to anger. Let’s take a look today at some things we can do when we become angry. Usually after we’ve blown up (sprayed our anger) and had our little say we […]
The most prevalent place where anger occurs today is in the home between husband and wife. One of the reasons is because opposites attract, and the other reason is because no one is perfect. I remember Paul Harvey years ago reported that there were two small towns in Illinois. One is called Normal, Illinois and […]
I grew up in a preacher’s home. Early on, when names were being called and labels were assigned to individuals, I gave in to "Son of a Preacher".
My name is Ron Corzine. I was born and raised in a small North Texas town, the sixth of seven children. At 19, I married my 16-year-old high school sweetheart. Anne and I have been married for 46 years. We have three children: Philip, Amy and Marlie. They have given us eight wonderful grandchildren.
I am the grandson of a preacher, son of a preacher, father of a preacher, and friend to many preachers. I, too, am a preacher. Since graduating from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, in 1973, I have been encouraging, motivating and challenging others to dream big, aim high and be the best they can be. I just can’t help myself. It’s my passion.
In 2001, after pastoring in South Texas for twenty-five years, Anne and I moved to San Antonio where I am semi-retired. While I do not actively pastor a church, I travel the world as a consultant to other ministries, giving leaders courage to lead with boldness. When I am not traveling, I enjoy touring Texas campgrounds with my wife and our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bo and Jake.
